The 22 thousand visitors that went to the exhibition during its four days, the strong representation of media during the event or the quantity and quality of its partnerships and sponsors are facts that explain, in a general way, the huge success of Oporto Show’s first edition.
Brands like Moooi, Tom Dixon, Arper or Flos were represented in the event among with more than 100 national and international names that couldn’t miss the exhibition - the same happens in the world’s biggest design exhibitions.
Another remarkable moment of TOS’07 was the contest for the First Adico Prize of Industrial Design. From the 85 candidates (fact that also proves the show’s triumph), the winner was José Luís Camarinha, with his chair “Mondo”. After him was Carlos Pereira, author of the project “Zeroum”, Élder Monteiro with “Chiado”, and Toni Grilo with “AMA”. All the projects were conceived and exhibited during the event, and the first winner received 3000 Euros.
In four days, Alfândega and the city of Oporto were the stage of an important manifest of design, interiors and architecture. To participants and organization, the exhibition exceeded all the expectations, justifying its annual realization.
